And neither should it. The party is over and now we have the hangover. A post-globalisation EU cannot continue to live beyond its means according to forecasts based on pre-globalisation growth rates. This is our new economic reality and we should get used to living within our new budgets. Sure we need growth - but if we feel the only way to achieve that is by buying it with increased public spending, we truly are in a sorry state.

My vote was more a hope that such could happen, because it is mainly the one way to solve the crisis.
